Fixed Infrastructure

BLE Beacons

Beacons are compact, battery-powered devices installed at fixed, predefined positions throughout the facility — along tunnel walls, ceilings, or structural pillars. Each beacon continuously emits a unique BLE signal that serves as a known reference point. They require no wired power or network connection, making deployment fast and non-intrusive across any layout, including long underground corridors and GPS-denied environments.

Wearable & Asset

Personnel & Asset Tags

Tags are mobile BLE devices worn by workers as badge clips or attached directly to vehicles, machinery, and high-value equipment. Each tag continuously scans for nearby beacons, identifies the surrounding reference points, and forwards that information to the nearest gateway. Tags can incorporate onboard sensors that enable safety features such as Man Down detection, Lone Worker monitoring, and manual SOS triggering — keeping people protected without any additional infrastructure.

Network Bridge

PoE Gateways

Gateways are the critical bridge between the BLE radio layer and your IT network. Powered directly over Ethernet (PoE) from your existing network infrastructure — no separate power cabling required — they continuously collect signals from nearby beacons and tags, aggregate the location data, and forward it securely to the DIO Track software over your wired LAN. Strategically spaced along the coverage route, gateways ensure seamless, uninterrupted data flow across the entire tracked area.

How DIO Track Works

Four clear layers — from tag to screen. No proprietary radio licenses, no complex IT overhaul. DIO Track fits into your existing network and starts delivering visibility from day one.

Tags Scan

Personnel and asset tags continuously and actively scan the surrounding environment, detecting nearby beacons. Each scan captures the identity and signal strength of surrounding reference points, along with any onboard sensor readings such as motion or alert status.

Beacons Reference

Fixed BLE beacons at known positions across the facility act as stable reference anchors. When a tag detects multiple beacons, the system uses those known positions to determine the tag's location within the covered area — no GPS required.

Gateways Forward

PoE-powered gateways collect all tag readings — including beacon detections and sensor data — timestamp them, and forward the aggregated information securely over LAN to the DIO Track software platform. Each gateway covers a defined zone along the route.

Software Visualises

The DIO Track platform receives the data stream in real time, calculates and displays asset and personnel positions on live maps, triggers configured safety alerts, and builds the operational reports your team relies on.
